Ship Storm Snake

Romans 8:31 If God is for us who can be against us?
S. Acts:27-28
O.Pail makes his appeal to Caesar. This sets him out on a journey by ship to Rome. It wasn't smooth sailing. 27:13 the ship enters into a violent long storm lasting over 2 weeks. It says they gave way v.15 and were driven along by it. God is certainly for Paul at this point and reassures him through and angel that he and the crew will be saved. This comes after everyone had given up hope. Well God comes through and Paul is spared his life. They end up on the island of Malta. God is still for Paul. The guy gets bitten by a snake, viper never the less. The islanders wait in anticipation thinking justice has just been served. When he lives he once again regains his status as a "god" which we read about one week ago in Acts 14. Finally Paul gets to Rome and makes his case. Wins some to the faith and finds some heart hardened. And finally the book of acts ends with v.31 "Boldly and without hindrance he preached the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ."
A. God is clearly for those who are obedient and who proclaim his goodness boldly.
God shows himself faithful even in the worst situations to those whom clearly love him.
I need to persevere through the trials which will help grow in love for God.
Above all LOVE God. That's a pretty safe bet.
P. God I'm not asking for trials directly but they will arise and some currently exist. I pray that you would help me overcome them. That through trials I may grow in maturity and be made complete and not lacking anything as you promise in James 1. Father, continue to go before me, and may you find me faithful and obedient to you, because I do love you. To you be all the glory. To you be all the praise. Everything I have is from You and will be used for You. Amen.
